An experiment with pouring acrylic paint and the interesting effects created, led to the birth of "Taking Flight." Looking for recognizable objects, I formed flowers out of the colored shapes, and added realistic looking butterflies. The dramatic movement that pulls your focus diagonally, and the wavy forms, makes me think of reflections on water, and the flowers "taking flight" into the wind.
